Jeff Bridges won Best Actor for his role as a grizzled, alcoholic country singer in Crazy Heart. Sandra Bullock won Best Actress for her role as a tenacious foster mom inThe Blind Side. Mo’Nique won Best Supporting Actress for her role taking a dramatic turn as an abusive welfare mom in Precious. Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor for his role as a Nazi officer in Inglorious Basterds.

“Up” won the Best Animated Feature Film. “Avatar” won the Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography awards. “The Cove,” took the Best Documentary award with its story of animal-rights activists tracking the annual killing of dolphins in Japan.

Sandra Bullock is the first who took an action immediately right after she heard this plan and donated an Alexander McQueen dress and a diamond-adorned Bochic bracelet.
