Cartier, Jewelers to Kings for the King of Jewelers, celebrates its 100th year in America with an exhibition. The exhibition, Cartier Precious Jewelry and Timepiece Collection, is traveling around the United States and it is exclusive to the Legion of Honor. The historical pieces started its journey in Manhasset on July 8th, 2009 and will last in Phoenix on March 31th, 2009.
The exhibition focuses on jewelry pieces owned by Americans including the exotic flamingo brooch made for the Duchess of Windsor, Daisy Fellowes’s famous “Tutti Frutti” necklace, Cornelius Vanderbilt’s round brooch- surrounded with round cut diamonds and sapphire stones, Grace Kelly’s stunning necklace and tiara – made from platinum and brilliant cut diamonds, which she wore at her wedding.
