While Maroon 5’s single Sugar climbed up to number 6 spot on Billboard Top 100 list, its upbeat music video is going strong for over 100 million views! That’s no surprise you find out after watching the fun and heart warming video, featuring Maroon 5 as a wedding band, crashing real weddings in South California and giving the newly weds and the guests the surprise of their lifetime.
The strength of the music video is the spontaneity: Instead of following a script, the band members drive across L.A. and hit every wedding they possibly can, as the lead singer Adam Levine puts it at the beginning of the film. The video was shot on December 6, 2014 on a sunny SoCal day by Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin, and the band popped up at the stage of each wedding where the actual wedding band was set to play. Of course the reactions of the brides were just priceless.
People magazine’s 2013 sexiest man alive Adam Levine called it “an out of body experience.” The 35-year old musician stated: “I had no idea I would be affected by the overwhelming reactions we received from the couples and guests. Being able to create an unforgettable experience for several people was the highlight of it all.”
We have to agree with Levine: Not only having Maroon 5 as your band to play on your special day is amazing, but being featured in their music video is beyond extraordinary.
