Vintage Wedding Bands: This trend first came out in 2013, and it’s not showing any signs of stopping in 2014. This can be largely credited to the popular of vintage rustic weddings, where couples are starting to get married in barns and wineries rather than conventional country clubs and banquet halls. Vintage wedding bands can be actual vintage (e.g. heirloom rings from your grandmother) or vintage-looking, where the ring adheres to an older style. Tiny diamonds, scrolled edges, and raised beaded edges can all create a vintage wedding band that’s still stunningly modern.

Stacked Pave Bands: While celebrities may still be enjoying the blinged-out wedding band trend, most jewelers are starting to pull back from this ostentatious display in favor of elegantly stacked pave bands. These wedding bands feature tiny diamonds set all around the band, and are stacked against or around the engagement ring. These delicate yet flawless wedding bands look stunning against solitaire diamond engagement rings, and even stand out against simple platinum or palladium bands. What’s more, these wedding bands are glamorous without taking a sizeable chunk out of your budget.

Colored Stones: This wedding band style has been a mainstay for the past three years, ever since Kate and Prince William exchanged vows back in 2011. Colored stones are much more affordable than traditional diamonds, yet they still make the show-stopping statement that you may be looking for. Canary yellow is a popular color, with sapphire blue coming in close second. Colored stones look effortless and stunning, and are perfect for brides that love making a statement wherever they go.

2014 promises to be an interesting year in terms of wedding band trends. If you haven’t already picked out your rings, consider finding your dream wedding band in any of these unique categories.
