Choosing a Setting
Channel settings hold the stones in a recessed groove below the surface, which makes them the practical choice if you work with your hands. Pave covers more of the band in smaller stones for maximum sparkle. Solitaire places a single stone on an otherwise plain band, and reads as the most understated option. Princess cut and kite set designs use square and angled stones for a sharper, more contemporary look, and step edge profiles frame the diamonds with a raised border that protects them.
Metal and Color
Available in 10K, 14K and 18K white, yellow and rose gold, two tone, and platinum. White metals let the diamonds read brighter and cooler; yellow and rose gold give more contrast against the stones and make a small diamond look larger. Our two tone diamond sets pair the two effects in one band.
