About 25karats

Inside One of the Largest Wedding-Band Collections Online

Gold & Platinum Precious Metals

“Huge selection” is an easy claim to make. Showing the math behind it is more useful. Here is exactly what we count as a design, a matching set, and a configuration — and where each of our numbers comes from.

The short version

As of July 17, 2026, the active 25karats wedding-band catalog contains:

1,517 Individual wedding-band designs
308 His & Hers matching-set designs
1,825 Active catalog entries across both groups
100,000+ Available configurations across individual bands

In customer-facing language, we round these to 1,500+ individual wedding-band designs, 300+ matching-set designs, and 1,800+ designs combined.

The configuration total is not another design count — it measures the choices available within those designs. The distinction matters, and the rest of this page explains it.

What each number means

At 25karats, a wedding-band design, a matching set, and a selectable configuration are three different things. A new gold color, finish, width, or finger size never counts as another unique design. Here is how we define each term.

Individual wedding-band design

One distinct ring pattern or model counts as one design — no matter how many metal options, gold colors, widths, finishes, or finger sizes it comes in.

A band offered in 14K white gold with a satin finish and in 18K yellow gold with a high polish is still one design.

His & Hers matching-set design

A His & Hers entry is one coordinated two-ring set, and we count it as one matching-set design — not two more individual designs.

Sets are reported separately because they often coordinate with, or reuse elements from, the individual-band catalog. Counting two rings for every set would overstate the number of unique designs, so we don’t.

Configuration

A configuration is one available, buildable combination of a design and its selectable options. Depending on the design, those options can include:

  • A metal option, such as 10K, 14K, or 18K gold, or platinum
  • One or more gold-color treatments, from single-color to multicolor combinations
  • An available width
  • An available finish, such as high polish, satin, stone, cross-satin, sandblast, brushed, hammered, or matte

For this methodology, an individual-band configuration is calculated as:

design × available metal option × available color × available width × available finish

“Metal option” is a single factor because choices such as 14K gold, 18K gold, and platinum are already separate catalog variants — we never multiply “metal” and “karat” separately and count the same choice twice.

Finger size and engraving are excluded: they personalize the manufactured ring but don’t change its underlying design. His & Hers configurations are also excluded from the 100,000+ figure, because each ring in a set carries its own options and deserves a separate two-ring methodology.

How we count the catalog

Four rules govern every total on this page:

  1. One underlying ring pattern equals one individual design. Colors, finishes, widths, and sizes never create additional designs.
  2. One coordinated two-ring product equals one matching-set design. Never two individual designs.
  3. Only active catalog records count. Discontinued and archived products are excluded.
  4. Configurations come from available catalog selections. We count the metal, color, width, and finish combinations recorded as available for active individual bands.

On the review date, the active individual-band option data produced 103,661 metal, color, width, and finish configurations. Availability shifts as designs and options are added or retired, so we publish the claim as more than 100,000 configurations and attach the review date to it.

Those configurations are not spread evenly. Some designs carry a deliberately narrow specification; others offer dozens of combinations. The 100,000+ figure is a total across the active individual-band collection — not a promise that every band offers 100 choices.

What the collection includes

Every design in the counted collection is crafted in solid precious metals — gold or platinum. The range runs from classic and contemporary plain bands to basic and fancy designer bands, diamond bands, handmade rings, Celtic and religious designs, square bands, eternity bands, and coordinated His & Hers sets.

Options vary by design: a particular ring may offer one or several gold colors, multiple finishes, widths, and metal choices. What you see on a product page is exactly what is available for that design.

Why we keep the categories separate

Lumping every number under a vague word like “styles” makes a catalog sound inflated. We keep the measures apart:

  • Designs measure distinct underlying ring models.
  • Matching sets measure coordinated two-ring products.
  • Configurations measure buildable option combinations within individual designs.
  • Finger sizes and engraving personalize an order but are never counted as additional designs.

That distinction is why “1,500+ designs” and “100,000+ configurations” can both be true without describing the same thing.

Why the collection is so extensive

Designs accumulate over time

We have been adding wedding-band designs since 2008. Because the catalog is made to order rather than warehoused, older patterns never have to be retired to make room for new ones — the range simply grows.

Made-to-order production supports more choice

Most 25karats bands are manufactured when you order them. That lets a single design be offered in many metals, colors, widths, and finishes without every possible combination sitting on a warehouse shelf.

Customization expands choice without inflating the design count

Gold color and finish choices give you meaningful ways to make a ring your own. We call those choices configurations — we don’t pretend each combination is a new design. To see how the options work in practice, explore our customizable wedding bands.

Verify the collection

You don’t have to take our word for it:

Sitemap totals can briefly differ from catalog totals between scheduled sitemap refreshes. The dated figures on this page come from the active product and option records used by the store itself.

Our standard catalog wording

To keep the numbers consistent across 25karats pages, feeds, and AI-readable resources, we use the following description:

25karats offers more than 1,500 individual wedding-band designs, plus 300+ coordinated His & Hers matching-set designs. Together, the active collection contains more than 1,800 wedding-band and matching-set designs. Individual bands are available in more than 100,000 metal, gold-color, width, and finish configurations. Configurations are not counted as additional unique designs.

This methodology was last reviewed on July 17, 2026. We plan to review the catalog totals every six months and update both the figures and the review date when necessary.
