Square Men's Wedding Bands
Square Wedding Bands for Men
A square band is the one shape that changes what a wedding ring looks like without adding a single stone or pattern. Four flat faces meeting at defined corners give straight highlights instead of the continuous roll of light a round band produces, and the difference is obvious across a room.
Square outside, round inside
Almost every design here is four sided on the outside and rounded on the inside, most with a comfort fit dome. That combination is the reason square bands are wearable at all: the corners you see are nowhere near the finger, and the ring sits like any other comfort fit band. It also runs about half a size large, so order down accordingly.
How they wear
The corners take the abrasion first. On a high polished square band that shows as four bright lines going soft over a year or two; on satin, cross satin or hammered finishes it is barely visible, which is why most of this collection is finished that way. Polishing restores the corners, and it is covered by the lifetime warranty. Square bands also rotate less noticeably than round ones, because there is no obvious front to be out of position.
Width and detail
7mm is the dominant width here and it is the right one: a square profile needs enough face for the flats to read as flats rather than as a rounded band with a crease. Several designs add a center cut, milgrain edge or a channel of diamonds along one face, and a few combine two colors of gold across the flats. Made to order in 10K, 14K and 18K gold or platinum, with engraving inside included.
Related: the unisex square wedding bands collection, plain and classic bands for the round equivalent, and carved designs. Back to men's wedding bands.
